i'm back.5 days passed so fast.): time flies.will upload the pics i took another time. took thai airways this time round.couldnt get tix for SIA.also wanted to try something new for a change.we were given orchids that we could pin onto our shirt.i pinned mine onto my bag instead.managed to clear the customs,claim our baggages and check into grand diamond hotel at 8pm BK time.which is around 9pm SG time.the room was OK.it had an attached living room,a bedroom and an attached bathroom.it was kinda late,and all the malls were closed by then so we walked around our hotel area.we were really tired so we decided to call room service.we had to get up by 5am BK time to get ready for the city tour the next day.the coach was supposed to pick us up at like 7am. so we got up at like 5am on day 2 to get ready for the city tour.had breakfast at the restaurant first.went to some river place and took the river boat tour,just like the ones they have at clarke quay.the platform was built on water and so it was kinda shaky.but it was so cool.hahas.from the platform,u had to climb onto the boat yourself.and there was a gap seperating the boat and platform.so it was like if u fell,TOO BAD.but we survived.took the boat to a temple,got off,took some pics and blah blah blah.went back on the boat,went to another temple where u could see the TEMPLE FISH.u could feed the fish while on the boat.the fishes would come jumping out.they were SO CUTE.then we went to another part of the river to see the lifestyle of the people there.the houses were built in water.typical kampong style.u dun really get to see these kind of things in singapore though.do u know how some of them make a living?they actually row their boats to tourist boats like ours and sell stuff to the tourists.bought some keychains and went back to where we started.we went to the LEATHER FACTORY next.the place where they sell handbags,wallets,belts and other stuff made from animal's skin like tilapia,stingray,elephant,crocodile,cow,snakes and many others.the only item i as interested in was a wallet made from elephant skin.was very close to buying it but in the end,i didn't.couldn't bear to.hahas.went to the gem factory next.bought a complete set of jewellery.which consists of a necklace,earrings and ring.mummy liked the ring,darelene liked the earrings and i liked the necklace.so we bought the complete set.it was a set made from blue topaz i think.lastly,we went to the place where u could find the FOUR FACED BUDDHA.after which we were free to go.we went to WORLD TRADE CENTRE and shopped around.i bought a REEBOK shirt and others which i can't remember.went back to the hotel to put our things down before going to FASHION MALL.went to this shop which i regret going to.the stupid woman was so rude and she totally pissed me off.didnt buy her stuff in the end.went to another shop nearby and i grabbed a couple of slogan tees.the guy there was so much nicer.bought like 3 and moved on.went to another shop and saw the ABCDEFG one.didnt buy it in the end.decided i had too many shirts already.walked on and bought a couple of other stuff which i can't remember.among them were shoes,jeanes and shorts.oh yea.this reminds me.we went to this shop selling bags.i took the bag,gave the woman the money and was abt to walk off when she said i didn't pay.i said i paid and she insisted that i didn't.why in the world would i wanna cheat her of her money?converted,it's only worth 20 SGD.so she went to check her stupid pouch and realized that i DID give her the money.how stupid.walked around a while more,bought some more stuff and went to the restaurant in the hotel for dinner before going back to our room.we found a number of termites crawling around our tv set and so we called house keeping.the guy got rid of them and we thought that was the last of them.or so we thought.. on the 3rd day,we went to IT mall first and grabbed a couple of DVDs.saw this laptop which cost 5000 B,which is about 200 SGD.wanted to buy it but didnt,cos we were afraid it was a fake.i dun wanna get held up at the customs.bought this massager thingy and went back to the hotel to put our things.we had takeaways so we ate in the hotel room before going to the area near CITY COMPLEX.there were clothes,clothes and more clothes there.it was like a bazaar.u can keep walking for hours only to find clothes,clothes and more clothes.bought a couple of stuff and headed to chinatown to have dinner.heard that the sharkfin soup there was nice and so we gave it a shot.went to this random seafood restaurant and had dinner.went back to the hotel after that.we found that the termites were back.we called house keeping again and they suggested chaging rooms.we asked the receptionist and she arranged it for us.so we changed rooms in the end. went to dreamworld on the 4th day.took a few rides and went to SNOWTOWN.it was just like the snowcity in singapore.but this one's better.u could stay in there for as long as u wished.it was nicer though.stayed in there for abt half an hour before heading back.went back to the hotel to rest for a while as we were dead beat before heading to MBK.walked round and did some final shopping.wanted to have dinner at a seafood restaurant and so we asked the 'took-took' car driver where we could find good seafood.he brought us to this seafood restaurant which looked like the one we went to last year.i'm pretty convinced that it was the one we went to last year.i think we even sat at the same table.i just had this strong gut feeling that it was the one we went to last year.it's located near florida hotel.after dinner,we headed back to our hotel to pack our stuff and got ready to return to singapore. on the last and final day,we went to have breakfast and went back to our room.called the bell captain before checking out.the van came and fetched us to the airport.our flight was delayed.we were supposed to board at around 12.20 and take off at 1 but we boarded the plane at about 12.50 BK time instead. and yea.so that was how i spent my last 5 days.and i loved it.hahas.will upload the pictures another time.and that's a promise ;)
